Texas-Style Brisket with Memphis “Red Hell” Mop Sauce

I have two favorite BBQ foods: pork ribs and beef brisket. And though I’m a porkaholic, I have to admit that beef brisket may be the most versatile, in addition to being insanely delicious.

Less is More, Apparently

This world we live in where everyone expects content and services for free, and where those same people end up being the product in the equation, has really ruined the Internet. Take CNN for example. In this photo example, the web browser is running full-screen on a typical laptop at 1440×900 pixel widescreen resolution…

Please Stop “Fixing” Font Smoothing?

With many fonts you really have no good alternative, whether it’s on a dark background or not. This is especially true for “light” fonts. The bottom line is that regardless of technical rationale or typography hubris, if it looks better with sub-pixel rendering disabled, turn it off…

The new version of Atheicon is now available in the iTunes App Store. This is primarily a maintenance release that features the following changes, additions, and fixes…

Corn Dog Bites

Corn dogs have always been a guilty pleasure of mine, and this recipe reproduces the classic taste of carnival corn dogs perfectly, without the need for tons of oil or skewers.

Visit to the TWiT Brickhouse Studio

This recipe is not only my favorite Indian preparation. It’s also my favorite chicken recipe. And I think you’ll want to lick your plate clean before getting a second helping. Trust me. It’s THAT good.

I’m excited to announce that my first independent iOS app was just approved and released to the iTunes App Store. It’s named Atheicon, and it strives to be the premiere iOS pocket reference for atheists, humanists, and skeptics.

Atheicon features a large database of relevant quotations, biographies, glossary terms, and arguments, all in support of a natural worldview.

WiFi Signal Problems? This Might Help.

I’ve been battling with intermittent signal problems in my house for some time. I have an Apple Time Capsule base station, which supports dual band 802.11 g/n on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. And my iPad and Macbook Air both support 802.11n on both bands. My iPhone only supports the 2.4Ghz band, as I recently discovered. […]

Rush Limbaugh Outrageous? Please.

So, anyone who takes Rush Limbaugh seriously should think again. This asshole is a ratings whore. His outrageous hegemonic hyperbole toting the Republican line is nothing more than offensive ratings fodder for fools.
