#Elon is not focused on wealth at this point. The #Tesla board approved his $50B pay package. He has arrived as the richest man on earth. He is about control. #Twitter and #StarLink are tools and weapons he and other large investors are wielding to determine the outcome of elections and wars.

Whether #ElonMusk's #Twitter rebrands as “X” is irrelevant to me. It is already my ex-social media platform. And my ex is a real asshole. That's why we broke up.
Elon Musk can say whatever he likes about Mark Zuckerberg and #Threads. Zuckerberg wasn't born into apartheid wealth like Musk. He earned every penny through intellectual property theft like any honest business person.
Question: Given that daily reading limits at Twitter prevent real-time news providers from getting their content out to everyone, what is Twitter without all those content providers?
Answer: A right wing disinformation and hate speech machine that shows you the occasional animated GIF of a deviant wagging his dick in your face.

I liked the Internet better when it wasn't a handful of proprietary social media platforms run by narcissists.
I really wish Apple was on Mastodon so that I could plead with them to stop launching Apple Music in macOS every time I remove my AirPods. I despise Musk's Twitter so much that I'll just keep closing the app by hand and cross my fingers.
All it will take for #Mastodon to overtake #Twitter is for organizations like the White House, news organizations, and others, to spin up their own Mastodon instances for their own official communications and continue posting as usual. And the dedicated instance addresses will be a better method of validation than a blue check.
Twitter's revocation of third party app access to its APIs, without notice or explanation, is another nail in the coffin for #ElonMusk's favorite toy. On a brighter note, the makers of my favorite #Twitter app, #Tweetbot, are already working on a new Mastodon iOS app named #Ivory.

People feel that #ElonMusk is destroying their #twitter, so they're fighting to get it back. The problem is that it was never theirs in the first place. Even if it were restored to its glory it could be corrupted again in the future. The only way to stop this cycle is for the masses to adopt a federated platform owned by no one. That's why I moved to #mastodon.

Twitter CEO #ElonMusk retweet of conspiracy theories about the attack on Paul Pelosi shows us exactly where Twitter is going under his leadership. It will become an even worse cesspool hellscape suitable only for the credulous shit asses on the #MAGA right.
The one, I’d venture to say the ONLY, feature people really want in a paid subscription version of #Twitter is an ad-free experience. Looks like #TwitterBlue failed at the start.
#Twitter, #Facebook, etc. are privately held companies. Their free services require that users agree to and follow their terms of service. Getting banned is solely at their discretion based on violations of these terms. It’s not censorship to ban #Trump, even for life.
